A cold one

I know I have no room for complaints. We have not had near the cold weather of our friends and family in Kansas. We've had snow, but with warm sunny days in between. This week however is supposed to be a really cold one. It's been below freezing all day, it's 19F now. PTL we've figured out the coal heater and are able to keep our home 40 degrees warmer inside than it is outside. Bummer my pregnant nose doesn't appreciate the smell of burning coal, but Vicks under my nose seems to make it do-able. The pipes to our water tank froze this morning. Austin worked all morning to defrost them, and eventually had to take the pipe down and bring it inside to thaw out.

Just wanted to ask for you to ask with us:

1. That our pipes don't freeze again and that the water from the city starts to come (it stopped mid-afternoon).
2.
For perseverance and encouraged spirits.

Thanks. Here's wishing you warm homes and a good mug of hot cocoa!

Will be asking for you! Here it snowed about 4 in and is still coming. Not nearly as cold as your place!

I do believe that we all will be ready for warmer weather and a chance to say goodbye to winter! Although the snow on the trees is amazingly beautiful. Asking for endurance and encouragement for you! Much love!

Oh Jenni, we will be asking about this for you guys. I can only imagine the coal smell in pregnancy :). Praise Father that you have heat, but I will lift you up with the smell. I can't imagine what people living more up in the mountains experience (weather wise). Love you!

It may be cold in Kansas, but I'm guessing most of us on this side of the Atlantic have a super fantastic heater and reliable thermostat. Hang in there, friend. That's cold.
